Kimdra Smith Webster was born on September 1, 1977, on the beautiful island of Anguilla. She was a loving mother, devoted spouse, accomplished scientist, and lifelong learner whose passion for education shaped every aspect of her life. Sadly, she passed away on August 24, 2015, but her legacy continues to inspire all who knew her and those who benefit from her story. Kimdra began her early education in Anguilla and spent part of her primary school years in the U.S. Virgin Islands with her maternal grandmother. She later returned to Anguilla for high school before relocating to New Jersey, where she distinguished herself as a top student at a private institution. Her academic excellence culminated in graduating at the top of her class from St. Aloysius High School. Her achievements earned her a full four-year scholarship to Seton Hall University, where she discovered her passion for mathematics and science. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree, followed by a Master’s degree in Microbiology. Kimdra built an impressive professional
career with Colgate-Palmolive, where she became a highly respected microbiologist, contributed to registered patents, and traveled internationally to support research and development initiatives. Despite her global accomplishments, Kimdra remained deeply connected to Anguilla. In 1999, she proudly represented her homeland and was crowned Miss Anguilla (1999–2000). She also demonstrated her entrepreneurial spirit by founding the Anguilla Sea Salt Company in 2014. Kimdra embodied discipline, dedication, responsibility, and an unwavering commitment to education. These values defined her life and continue to inspire the mission of this Foundation.
Through the achievements of its scholarship recipients, her legacy of academic excellence, perseverance, and community impact lives on.
